The brief
Dr Ellen Welch’s work spans NHS general practice, books, journalism, broadcast commentary, speaking and health advocacy. The challenge was to turn that range into a coherent professional home: authoritative enough for editors and producers, personal enough to reflect an unusual clinical career, and structured so new books, articles and appearances could be added without redesigning the site.
The work
Fyllio shaped the information architecture around the ways people actually look for Ellen’s work: a current latest view, a full professional profile, books, filterable writing, media by format, advocacy and clearly separated enquiry routes. The visual system balances editorial confidence with clinical clarity, using large type, warm photography and restrained colour. Structured book cards, publication metadata, media listings and linked Substack content keep a substantial body of work browsable on mobile as well as desktop.
The result
The live site is now a single source of truth for Ellen’s clinical background and public work. Editors, producers and event organisers can quickly understand her expertise, review books and recent commentary, browse television, radio, podcast and event appearances, and contact her for the right kind of commission. The system is ready for ongoing publishing, including her forthcoming 2026 book.
